Kaiseki dining at the foot of Mt. Takao
Since its establishment, Ukai Chikutei in the village of Oku-Takao makes use of traditional local seasonal ingredients such as bamboo shoots and ayu sweetfish in its kaiseki dishes, served in a space epitomizing the wabi-sabi (wisdom in natural simplicity) of tea ceremony (from which kaiseki dining originated). Please enjoy the tastes of the current season in a dignified environment of lush nature, breezes through bamboo forests and the sounds of a nearby stream.
