Aiming to become an attractive academic city
This organization works to build an attractive academic city where students can learn and succeed with the concept of making the entire area of Hachioji a single campus that involves all universities.
Hachioji is one of the most famous academic cities in the country where around 100,000 students study in the 25 universities/junior colleges/technical colleges located within the area.
This feature of the region has allowed advancing support for local contribution activities of students, university credit transfer system, introducing information of universities, and support for international students.

Hachioji Gakuen Toshi Daigaku (Lifelong Leaming Center) Icho-Juku
To serve as an educational facility of the academic town of Hachioji, various courses are held throughout the year, which many citizens attend.
Student Presentation Meeting
Students deliver presentations such as graduation research results and proposals for solving regional issues to the mayor and representatives of various industries in December.
FD/SD Forum
This is a study forum for university faculty members held in August.People from universities around the country come to learn at Hachioji.
Student Project Subsidy
Support is provided to students en-gaging in local contribution activities of Hachioji through offering subsidies.
